Swiss gun law requires for the purchase of Firearmas and ammunition a wirtten contract for (Guns subject to registration), a weapon purchasing permit for (Guns subject to licensing) or a Cantonal special permit for (Prohibited Guns and Weapons).

Persons with residence in a foreign country, foreingers without a permanent residence permit (Resident permit C) require for the purchase of all weapons a weapons purchase permit in addition a official confirmation of the legal domicile or native country, that states that they are legitemized to purchase that weapon or weapon part/s.

Purchase, possession, offer, broker & mediate, transfer of weapons, parts of weapons, weapon accessories, Ammunition, carry and bear of weapons and shooting with firearms are prohibited for members of the following countries:
